I am very grateful for Christian Science...

I am very grateful for Christian Science and for the many blessings which have come to me through its study.

Some years ago the opportunity came for me to spend several months in a foreign country, visiting relatives. Because of an illness from which I had recovered only a short time before, I had a great fear of crossing the water and of making the trip alone, especially since these relatives were not Christian Scientists. At that time there were very few Scientists in the city in which I was to visit, and no Science churches.

I began to study very earnestly to overcome this fear, and work was taken up by a practitioner. Very soon I began to realize that I could not be separated from God, since lie fills all space. Soon after leaving New York harbor, I learned that the captain of the ship was a Christian Scientist and that Science services were held on Sunday for any who wished to attend. When the stewardess saw the Bible and Science and Health in my stateroom, she told me that she, too, was a student of this religion. The fear completely left me. The ensuing months proved to be harmonious in every way. I am deeply grateful to God for this healing and for many more.
