Arizona

Although the newspapers in Arizona are greatly handicapped by lack of newsprint because of wartime restrictions, they still donate to us space in their columns as far as their paper allotments will allow. Church notices are printed weekly, and although some papers have discontinued the printing of the Lesson-Sermon excerpts, several still accept them.

Five of the state's leading daily papers allotted fifty-eight inches of space to reports of the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church. One of our largest and most widely read publications had a fine editorial covering a news article which appeared in The Christian Science Monitor. A substantial portion of the Monitor article was quoted, with the editor's comments upon the high regard in which the Monitor is held because of its complete and authentic news items.
