Church Dedications
Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.
Worthing, Sussex, England (First Church).
Members of the Brighton, Hove, and other Christian Science branch churches attended the dedication services of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Worthing, on Sunday, December 31, 1944.
A short account of the church from its organization in 1921 was read. The original, temporary building continued in use until 1937, when it was demolished. The cornerstone of a new church edifice was laid in December, 1938, and in May, 1939, the first service was held in the new building.—Brighton and Hove Herald.
