Christian Science has met my every need for well over a quarter of a century. I have experienced many healings. Smoking, social drinking, constantly recurring typhoid fever and tonsillitis, a broken nose, a sense of lack— these are but a few of the errors that have faded into nothingness when exposed to the light of Truth, as taught and demonstrated in Christian Science.

While I am of course, deeply grateful to God for these healings, I am most grateful for the less spectacular proofs of the all-power, all-presence, and all-knowing of divine Principle, as evidenced in the meeting of the little annoying problems which would rob one of his freedom. When solved, these problems prove to be waymarks pointing faithfully and consistently to the fact of spiritual existence.

I should like to tell of an experience I had some time ago which may be helpful to others. It was one more positive proof of the allness of God. Spirit. A friend manifested all the symptoms that are generally attributed to a cold. Although we both knew better, we made sport of it and laughed heartily over the distressing symptoms. Even though joking, we were making a reality of something that we knew to be utterly false and no part of spiritual existence—the only real existence. The following morning I found that the discordant condition had attached itself to me. This time it was no laughing matter. Self-condemnation argued persistently to make me regret not having stood guard over my thought: the condition grew steadily more distressing, until I was forced to go to work metaphysically to eradicate the false belief.
