I wish again to express my sincere...

I wish again to express my sincere gratitude to God for all the good that Christian Science has brought to me and mine. It is my hope that this may help and encourage other parents. A son who recently returned from active service at Guadalcanal, where he was for some months, kept perfectly fit and well all the time. The convoy in which he crossed from other islands was quite a large one and was the only one to his knowledge that was not attacked in crossing.

Another man who returned from Guadalcanal more recently told my son that the position he had lived in until he left for home has been bombed out of existence, although it was so placed that nothing but a direct hit could have got it. My son is a sincere student of Christian Science. I was delighted to hear him tell a friend one day that "not a thing happened to any of our fellows all the time we were out there." There were nineteen of them, and all came back completely well.

For this proof of the power of prayer as taught in Christian Science I am indeed grateful. It shows how important our daily work in Christian Science is, and what it does, not only for our loved ones but also for those who surround them, and hence for the whole world.
