Looking back over the past...
Looking back over the past years while I was engaged in the reading and study of Christian Science, I realize the many blessings that have come to me. I am indeed sincerely grateful for the day when this great truth was revealed to me.
As a child, the thought of sickness was distasteful to me, and if ever I was sick I would go somewhere to be alone in order to avoid being questioned about it. When the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was brought into the home because of the illness of a member of the family, I read it as I would read any very interesting book. At the second reading, however, I was particularly attracted by the chapter on Prayer, and as I continued to read I could see the spiritual import, which brought to me great comfort and blessing, such as had never come into my life before.
Christian Science has been my only physician and guide in every emergency, and a most satisfactory religion. Its healing power is unquestionable. I have received many healings, but will testify to two of the most complicated.
