The Sunday School

Each Sabbath day the children
Trace their footsteps
To this sweet, sacred place
To learn about their
Father-Mother God,
Who banishes all fears
And tenderly will guide
His little ones through
All the coming years.

They love to hear the
Bible stories told
Of little Samuel,
Who heard God's voice,
And David with his courage bold;
How Daniel, cast into the lions' den,
Did not cease to pray,
Came forth unharmed because
He did God's law obey.

Here, too, the children learn
To heed the Sermon on the Mount,
To use and keep
The Bible's ten commands,
Then eagerly, like Paul of old,
Set forth to run the race
And win the prize—
The stature of the perfect man.
