Christian Science Committee on Publication for Nebraska Reports

The excerpts from our Lesson-Sermons are doing a fine work in educating the public to the appreciation of the fact that Christian Science is founded on the Bible and its teachings. In spite of constantly increasing demands for space for war news, we are happy to report that the excerpts are being printed regularly in sixty-three papers in towns where there are no Christian Science organizations, and in forty-nine papers in towns where there are Christian Science churches and societies.

The "Gems of Thought" feature is popular because of its appeal to a broad class of readers. One hundred and sixty-five newspapers feature this series regularly.

We doubt if any newspaper can equal the solid progress of The Christian Science Monitor in public regard as well as excellence of content. The exchange-for-advertising plan has one hundred and fifty adherents. The plan furnishes the editors with the subscription in exchange for advertising the Monitor in their papers. It is commonly remarked by editors that they enjoy reading the Monitor editorials because of their high quality at all times. An editorial comment follows: "We are so well pleased with The Christian Science Monitor as our finest regular source of reliable information that we wish you would extend our subscription for another year."
