It is my desire to testify to the healing power of prayer as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus and discovered in this age by Mary Baker Eddy.

I was healed in 1886 of congestion of the uterus in a serious form through the prayerful work of one of Mrs. Eddy's early students. From that time until the present I have sought every opportunity to learn more about God through the study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I have had the great privilege of class instruction from a consecrated teacher and of serving the Cause of Christian Science in many ways. My first healing, which was instantaneous and permanent, convinced me that I had indeed found the "pearl of great price." My one desire from that moment has been continually to live the truth which Mrs. Eddy revealed to be the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus. I have proved that God's promises are kept if we live in accordance with the Master's teaching.

My beloved husband and I joined a branch church in 1910. and The Mother Church in 1914. When he and my mother passed on, my tears were wiped away and great peace has come to me. Today I am rejoicing in the peace "which passeth all understanding," given to those who hate evil and love righteousness and purity. My gratitude to God is unbounded.— (Mrs.) Alice P.
