Christian Science was first presented to me by a friend. I had been ill for a long time, not able to go out alone, and spent most of my time in bed. Three physicians had told me that unless I underwent another operation, I would never be well. Having already had two operations, I did not want a third. One day I was asked by this friend if I would like to attend a Christian Science church service. I went and enjoyed the service, and knew Christian Science was what I needed. A few weeks later, I called a Christian Science practitioner through whose kindness and loving talks I was given a clearer understanding of Christian Science, and of course I was healed. Today I am free from illness, need no medicine, and go out alone. For this I am grateful.
