Christian Science came to me when a physician had said that because of stomach and intestinal trouble I should have to go to bed for six months, and that I might never be able to lead a normal life again. A Christian Science practitioner was called to my home that evening, and in fifteen minutes I arose from my bed. The pain, which had been intense for three months, was gone. I had not eaten any solid food during those months, but the practitioner now told me to eat a normal meal. I did so that evening, and with no ill effects whatsoever. This healing took place over eighteen years ago and there has been no return of the disease.

Shortly after this experience I was healed of impaired hearing which had followed a severe case of influenza, also of blood poisoning and lockjaw after the extraction of all my wisdom teeth. My jaws had been locked for five weeks. During that time I had many trials. I was torn between faith in material means for healing and dependence upon God but finally I realized that I must depend on God alone. A few minutes later my jaws opened, and all pain was gone. I ate a normal meal, the first in five weeks, and by the next morning all the swelling had gone.

I was healed in five days of double pneumonia with all complications, and in a few days I started on a one-thousand-mile automobile trip, which was completed in scheduled time, and all was well.
