Omnipotence

Think not that God hath yet more work to do—
His work is done;
God's law of love and truth holds man secure
From sun to sun.
And though life's trail at times may not seem clear,
He leads the way,
With tenderness and care upholding all
From day to day.

Think not that thou must sadly walk alone,
With footsteps slow,
Through dreaded years of seeming lack and loss,
Through days of woe;
God calls to thee, "Lo, I am ever near,
Close by thy side;
Remember that thy loved one, gone from sight,
Has never died."

Think not that there are burdens to be borne,
Fights to be fought;
Whatever really is, is always right—
Hold fast this thought.
God's children dear, secure from every harm,
In His love dwell;
So let thine eyes with joy look up and know
That all is well.

Lean hard on God's strong arm, dear child, today—
He knows thy needs;
Look straight before thee without doubt or fear—
The one Mind leads.
Walk close with Him in radiant faith, and know
He holds thy hand;
His grace will be sufficient all the way,
Let God's will stand!
