My first healing, which has...
My first healing, which has served as a beacon light through the wilderness experiences that came afterward, occurred some forty years ago. Through Christian Science treatment from a practitioner whom I had never seen, I was healed of weak lungs, which had resulted in frequent spells of congestion. The healing was clear-cut, an accomplished fact within twenty-four hours, and seemed most wonderful to me. There has never been a return of any form of lung trouble.
In the years following I suffered now and then from some throat affliction. As through the years my understanding of God and man's relationship to Him has grown, these limitations have dropped away with resulting physical improvement. For many years I have been privileged to have all the Christian Science literature in my home and to avail myself of church services.
On page 425 of Science and Health Mrs. Eddy tells us, "Consciousness constructs a better body when faith in matter has been conquered." I feel the results of that steady and unfailing rebuilding.
