The testimonies in our periodicals...

The testimonies in our periodicals which I read during a testing time so encouraged and assisted me that I now desire to add my testimony in order that I may bless someone else. My gratitude for many blessings which Christian Science has brought into my life is boundless.

About two years ago I experienced a bad fall on the ice and severely injured one of my ankles. A practitioner was called immediately, and in an hour the pain was gone. The physical healing was slow, but through it I had a priceless opportunity to grow spiritually and attain a clearer realization of the truths of Science.

Many times discouragement and fear tried to enter and urge me to consult a surgeon or to have an X ray, but as I turned more resolutely to the study of the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, and with loving encouragement from a practitioner, the fear was destroyed, and the ankle was healed. Later a surgeon informed me that two bones had been broken but had healed perfectly. This experience proved to me beyond a doubt the ever-availability of God's law, and that the right and earnest application of Christian Science meets all our human needs. I can now sing with the Psalmist, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help," for I know that, as Mrs. Eddy tells us on page 402 of Science and Health, "Christian Science is always the most skilful surgeon, but surgery is the branch of its healing which will be last acknowledged." I am most grateful for this healing, which proves that I have found "the way." Christian Science has given me that peace "which passeth all understanding."
