Over twenty-six years ago we had our first introduction to Christian Science by way of a lecture. At that time I was under the doctors' almost constant care, and attended the lecture only because a friend had invited us many times. I had no intention of taking up Christian Science, but was extremely curious to find out what it was all about. It seemed to me, however, that the lecture was given for and to me. In fact, I was not aware anyone else was present. Going home I said to our friend, "Why, that was just plain common sense."

My husband, son, and I were ready to accept the truth, and immediately began an intensive study and search into the teachings of Christian Science. Although needing healing badly I gave little thought to it, for I was more interested in finding out about God. I forgot all about taking the medicine that had seemed necessary every half-hour, day and night, and it was not long before the contents of the overstocked medicine closet were thrown away.

In less than a year we joined our local Christian Science church, then The Mother Church, and then we all had class instruction.
