Many years have passed since...
Many years have passed since I experienced my first wonderful healing of serious eye trouble and organic difficulties through the efficacy of Christian Science. From early childhood the family physician predicted that I should not live to maturity, or if so, I should be blind.
Although I was tutored at home by a scholarly grandfather, who was a devoted Bible reader, and my mother, who had been a teacher, I longed to attend school. Finally, in the teen age, I was able to enter school, and in due time earned a degree necessary for taking a position as a teacher in the public schools.
My eyes had been fitted with skillfully made glasses, the lenses of which differed greatly. I was able to carry on, and loved my work, but many week ends I found it necessary to stay in bed from the time school closed on Friday until Monday.
