Notices
The purpose of the Archives of The Mother Church is to collect and preserve valuable historical material which relates to the Cause of Christian Science. Its use is to aid the Board in its work. Mary Baker Eddy established the precedent for collecting this material. Since then the Board of Directors of The Mother Church has continued to follow this plan.
The Christian Science Sentinel has frequently contained notices of acknowledgments to those who have presented letters written by our Leader and her secretaries, as well as other papers bearing her signature. The result of these notices is evidenced by the fact that thousands of documents have been received for preservation by The Mother Church. It is with deep appreciation that we acknowledge these gifts.
The following is a list of donors of letters, et cetera, received since our last notice in the Sentinel for August 17, 1940:
