I send this testimony in deep...

I send this testimony in deep gratitude to God for all the blessings of Christian Science.

I left the Far East last year, in the midst of bombing and machine-gun firing. When I was on board ship I opened a copy of the Christian Science Sentinel, and my eyes fell on verse quoted from Exodus: "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared." I seemed to see God's angel going right before us, keeping us in the way, and I felt that God was guiding us unerringly through the waves and waters. I stood on deck knowing that, as Mrs. Eddy says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 113), "We have nothing to fear when Love is at the helm of thought, but everything to enjoy on earth and in heaven."

Later in the journey when we called at a certain port, I went into the Christian Science Reading Room, and picked up a copy of The Herald of Christian Science, and there again I read that same message, "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared." I felt that it was God's direct message to me for the journey, and realized that I could not be separated from His protecting guidance and love.
