Christian Science Committee on Publication for Somerset, England, Reports

Though the newspapers are very much cut down owing to paper restrictions, the editors continue to be friendly and courteous; there have been two unfriendly criticisms published in the press this year. These were answered, and the replies were published.

The excerpts from the weekly Lesson-Sermons were published two hundred and thirty times during the year. This was an improvement on last year, when they were published one hundred and ninety-nine times. Two newspapers have continued to print the excerpt each week; one of these is a daily.

We continue advertising our textbook once a month in the local press, and the advertisement usually appears at the end of the notices on church services in the Saturday edition of the paper.
