"Daily Prayer"

Prayer is joyous, and praying is a most happy experience, for it is communion with God. This spiritual intercourse with God should be so cherished that no interruption of it will be tolerated. If one values these priceless moments of prayer, and protects his thought against invasion and vacillation, thought will not go woolgathering, nor an important task clamor to divert attention.

Communion with God is always the high light in one's daily experience. There should be provision for this many times during the twenty-four hours. Since God is illimitable, unconquerable good, prayer is intimate spiritual fellowship with God, with unending good. Attachment for and responsiveness to unbounded good are always joy-yielding, gladsome, healing.

Who ever heard of a dark heaven, or a joyless heaven? Heaven, the presence of God, the everywhereness of Spirit, has no need of sun or moon to lighten it, for the Revelator tells us that "the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. ... And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light."
