About ten years ago I took up...
About ten years ago I took up the study of Christian Science. During these years I have witnessed numerous healings and experienced many myself.
Our first great blessing was to be led to a consecrated practitioner. Great love and patience have been shown us by this loving, spiritually-minded woman in helping us to see the light.
An outstanding healing was experienced by a five-year-old daughter who was attacked with erysipelas on one of her legs. She experienced great pain and was delirious, and although work was taken up by a practitioner, the condition continued to spread rapidly until it had almost covered the leg. The disease was then definitely recognized and named to the practitioner. The child was up and about twenty-four hours later, just eight days after she was first taken ill. This was wonderful to me, because before taking up Christian Science I was a medical nurse and had seen cases of erysipelas treated for six weeks and more, sometimes unsuccessfully.
