The Lectures
Introductions to Lectures
Aurora, Illinois (First Church).
Lecturer: Peter B. Biggins; introduced by William A. Hansen, who said:—
These are days in which we are called into action. Lethargy, indifference, and apathy are taboo. Our armed and unarmed forces are put to the task of doing their best in their several endeavors. No less are the thinkers of the world—and we all are thinkers—called upon to put their best foot forward. It is timely, then, that we devote this hour and many others to follow to the task of thinking rightly, and progressively more rightly, about ourselves, our institutions, our nation. This can be done only in so far as we learn the true nature of God and thus correctly estimate His universe.
