When Christian Science is scientifically and conscientiously...
When Christian Science is scientifically and conscientiously applied, it meets our every need, irrespective of the problem or condition to be met. Recently I witnessed a proof of God's omnipotence and protection.
Upon my application for an insurance policy it was necessary that I be examined by an insurance company's doctor. After this it was requested that I have a second examination. I was not told why this was necessary, but I realized that man, as God's reflection, possesses only good, and that God is the only physician. Before the second examination I called a Christian Science practitioner for help, and it was lovingly given. One of the thoughts given me by the practitioner was that man in God's image and likeness is perfect, without spot or blemish. I was also reminded of what Mary Baker Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 209): "Man is tributary to divine Mind," and (p. 515), "Love's ideas are subject to the Mind which forms them."
After the second examination I received a letter from the company requesting me to undergo a third examination, including the taking of an X-ray photograph, because they could not understand why the second examination proved me to be in such perfect condition. From another source I was informed that this was an unusual procedure, and that ordinarily after a second examination the company accepts or rejects the applicant. Help was again requested, and this time the report came back giving me an A-1 rating, the best physical rating rendered by an insurance company. Whatever the difficulty had been, it was reduced to its native nothingness in my experience.
