I wish to testify to the healing power of Christian Science

I wish to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. From childhood I have been a student of this Science, and have received many blessings through the application of its teachings.

My first healing came while I was reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I had been subject to severe colds and tonsillitis, often having to stay in bed for weeks at a time. I also had been pronounced incurable by several physicians, who said that I had tuberculosis and many other physical ailments, such as weak heart and malaria. I was only ten years old, but I loved to read the Bible and to go to church. We moved into an apartment where we had some neighbors who attended the Christian Science church, and they persuaded me to go to church with them and to borrow a copy of Science and Health.

One day I had a severe cold and felt very ill, so I picked up the book and began to read. In an hour or so I was entirely healed. I began to attend the Christian Science Sunday School, and after a year was completely healed of the other ills. I had no other treatment but the application of Christian Science.
