Deep gratitude and a great desire to help my neighbor impel me to give my testimony regarding all the benefits I have received through Christian Science.

Eleven years ago one of my sons fell while motorcycling and fractured two ribs, so that he could not move. He asked me to get help for him, which was very lovingly given. In the evening he was able to get up, and ten days later there was nothing left of the trouble. The following year my other son also had an accident with his motorcycle. His left arm was broken in two places and terribly crushed. Immediately I asked help of a practitioner. Meanwhile, my son was taken to the hospital in an automobile. There the doctors declared that amputation of the hand was necessary, since several tendons were cut. As he was not of age I absolutely opposed it, knowing that god is the only power.

Reluctantly the doctors gave first aid and said they would leave it for three days, and that then it would be necessary to resign myself, if it were not too late. When the three days were over the doctors were much astonished to see the improved condition of the arm, and they no longer spoke of amputation. Although my son had two X rays, no medical treatment was given. Several weeks later my son returned home completely healed. The following year he went through his military training as a recruit with no ill effects. And the marvelous thing is that at no time did he suffer.
