Christian Science was introduced to me some years ago, when I was unemployed. At that time I lived in a large city, and I searched for work daily, month after month, without success. One day, during my search, I called on a friend who belonged to the same profession, and he advised me to investigate Christian Science, but I could not see what Christian Science had to do with finding a position. Later, however, I again called on this man in the hope that he might be able to direct me to a possible opening. Again he recommended that I try Christian Science, and a short time later he invited me to a lecture. At the end of the lecture I accepted a copy of the Christian Science Sentinel, which proved to be invaluable to me, for in it were some articles dealing with the subject of overcoming lack. I attended a second lecture, during which the lecturer helpfully dealt with the same subject.

Soon afterward, I visited a practitioner and paid my first visit to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting. I thereafter began the study of Christian Science in earnest, and quickly discovered that God supplies all our needs, and that spiritual man is never unemployed. I sought to put into practice all that I was learning, and as a result, a calm assurance took possession of me that all my needs would be supplied.

One day I was guided to revisit a certain office. I was there offered a temporary position, which has since proved to be permanent, and I have been advanced several times to a higher position.
