When I was a child I received a gift of a Bible, with my name stamped in gold on it. I laid it away, not realizing there was great treasure within its covers.

A few years later Christian Science was brought to my home and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy was purchased. I am glad to say that this book was not put aside, but that it proved to be the "key" which opened the Bible and explained it to me.

Through the years this Truth has unfolded to me, revealing God as Mind, who creates man spiritually in His own image and protects His reflection. I further learned that Jesus manifested the Christ, the spiritual idea of God, and brought the healing truth to the human understanding. Thus were the mists of ignorance and false belief cleared away, and I found a rule by which problems have been solved, physical conditions healed or alleviated, and the realization gained that happiness is not dependent on material conditions. I learned that, in order to progress and to obtain proper results, the rules of Christian Science must be as faithfully applied as rules in mathematics.
