Now

There is no past to cause regret or tear,
No future fears to which I needs must bow,
For day by day the truth unfolds to me
That in God's universe there's only now.

All sin and sorrow that would cloud my thought,
All that was bondage in a darker way,
Fades into nothingness as I behold
The rainbow of Thy promise for today.

As morning comes, so I awake to Truth.
The night dream gone, and no tomorrow's fear,
I find today my all in Thee, and know
That God's eternity is now, and here.
