Two Gems

Into my hand two gems were dropped
From out a friend's pure thought:
The one denied all error's claims
With which my life was fraught;
The other one affirmed the might
Of good, which fills all space,
The power of Truth to set men free
And evil's claims erase.
So in my grasp these precious gems
I'll keep, and never loose,
But gratefully and trustfully
Employ for daily use.
