Lecturer: Miss Violet Ker Seymer; introduced by Mrs. Claudia S. MacRoberts, who said:—

The works of Christ Jesus proved what he meant when he said, "Come unto me . . . and I will give you rest." And Mrs. Eddy says of the Christ, or "the spiritual idea" (Miscellaneous Writings, pp. 167, 168), "He giveth power, peace, and holiness; he exalteth the lowly; he giveth liberty to the captive, health to the sick, salvation from sin to the sinner—and overcometh the world!"
