For the benefit of those who may be seeking after Truth, I wish to make an acknowledgment of the many blessings I have received through Christian Science. These blessings continue to unfold, and each day I realize a deeper sense of gratitude. From childhood I was a constant sufferer, and this went on as I grew into womanhood. I was suffering from what the doctors diagnosed as a poisoned system caused by internal measles. Every material means was sought—salt water, high and low altitudes, sun baths, and body massages. Finally the doctors said my tonsils were decayed and must be removed at once or I should never walk again. It was in this extreme hour of discouragement that a Christian Science Sentinel was given me, and I was told to read the testimonies of healing. I then sought help, which was given by a loving practitioner, and in two weeks the healing was complete. Since that time, thirty-three years ago, there has been no return, not even a symptom of the disease.

I cannot express in words my heartfelt gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for giving to the world the revelation of Truth and Love which heals the sick. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for class instruction. These words convey but a small part of what Christian Science means to me, and I desire that my life may reflect more and more of Truth and Love.
