A reference to Christian Science was made in a recent issue of the Solothurner Zeitung which seems to imply that Christian Science has something to do with the use of massage. This in no way agrees with the facts. Christian Science is not a branch of ordinary medical practice, but is a religion, which heals by purely spiritual means. It does not diagnose sickness nor prescribe material remedies; the patient is not manipulated in any way. On the contrary, Christian Science follows the admonition of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 261): "Look away from the body into Truth and Love, the Principle of all happiness, harmony, and immortality. Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts."
