Notices

It has been customary for Christian Science churches and societies in the United States of America to hold the annual Thanksgiving Day service on the day set apart by proclamation of the Governors of their respective states. The same procedure may be followed this year. At The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Thanksgiving Day will be observed on Thursday, November 28, the date announced in his proclamation by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Outside the United States, branches of The Mother Church will follow the established custom and hold a Thanksgiving Day service on the day locally observed or selected, at which the "Lesson for Thanksgiving Day," which is published in the Christian Science Quarterly for the last quarter of each year, is read.
