I deem it a great privilege to have been brought up in a home where Christian Science was accepted and used for several years previous to my birth. I attended a Christian Science Sunday School from the age of three. In our home, there was never any reliance on material medicine, and many problems were solved, sometimes with and sometimes without the help of a practitioner.

The belief that I must smoke and drink socially was accepted for a number of years. Finally, the desire to become a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church became so great that I was healed of these undesirable habits. This experience opened wide the door for serving in our great movement, which has brought immeasurable joy.

Since my marriage, over five years ago, Christian Science has become even more deeply rooted in our home, and we have had added opportunity to study and use this practical truth more consistently. I feel greatly indebted to Mrs. Eddy for having revealed Christian Science to the world.
