I had known of Christian Science for many years, but did not depend on it for physical healing until a physician told me that only through Christian Science could I hope to overcome a nervous condition. I asked for help, but the healing was slow, and did not take place until I learned really to study and love the truth.

When my two children were born, the conditions were harmonious and there was very little pain. I have also witnessed many healings of members of my family. My mother was healed of a cancerous growth on her head; at the end of four years the growth fell off and new hair grew in its place. This was a wonderful demonstration of the power of Truth over error, for it was accomplished just through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. My mother was also completely healed of hemorrhage of the leg, through the help of a practitioner.

It was recently necessary for me to have some wisdom teeth extracted and also to have several others filled. This was done without the least discomfort. A practitioner helped me through the experience, and I shall never forget the peace and joy I felt, for I gained a higher realization of man's unity with Spirit, God, and the nothingness of matter. Colds, fevers, whooping cough, constipation, and fear of storms have all yielded to this wonderful truth. Words cannot express the love I feel for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; also, for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for having a small part in church activities. Surely the words ring true from one of our Leader's hymns (Poems, p. 7):
