My gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me prompts me to give this testimony.

Over twenty years ago, through reading the chapter on Prayer in Science and Health, I was permanently healed of constipation which had bothered me for many years. In 1919 a healing of influenza came very quickly. A practitioner was called at five o'clock in the afternoon, and by twelve that night I was completely healed. I have experienced instantaneous healings of quinsy and chronic appendicitis. Other healings, brought about through the help of practitioners and my own faithful study, were of stomach trouble, neuralgia, an ulcerated tooth, sick headaches that had caused me much suffering since childhood, asthma, hay fever, and heart trouble. My two children have been healed of measles in three days and of mumps in half an hour.

I am deeply grateful for all these beautiful healings; but more so for a better understanding of the Bible. I attended an orthodox church for many years, but could not understand its teaching. I also had a great fear of the hereafter, until through Christian Science I gained the understanding that God is eternal Life. I am grateful that through the daily study of the Bible and Science and Health I am learning to see all my fellow men as God's children, not material, but spiritual. It has been my privilege to teach in the Sunday school for many years. I have received many blessings through this work.
