As I look back over the years during which Christian Science has sustained and protected me from the ills of the flesh, and given me a better understanding of God and man's relation to Him, there comes to me a deep desire to bear witness to its healing ministry. I have been healed of nervous prostration, typhoid fever, homesickness, grief at the loss of dear ones passing on, and effects of accidents.

My gratitude goes out to faithful practitioners who have stood through the mists and shadows of human experience; for the consecrated workers who make it possible for us to have our literature; for the new home for our periodicals, and especially for The Christian Science Monitor, to which I have been a subscriber since its first issue, November 25, 1908, and which all through the years has been a blessing that words fail to express. I rejoice in the anniversary year of our wonderful newspaper. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; for class teaching, and for our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
