Limitless Supply

How often have I watched an ocean wave
Push forward, gather native strength, repressed,
And rise, and rise, and then a moment rest,
Ere power within burst from its arched concave
To scatter wide a wealth of jewels, to lave
And beautify the shore! In eager quest
Again it gathers treasures to its breast
And casts them at my feet. O ocean brave,
You give and give! May we, too, gather now
God's gems of thought, then pause, and wait until
Their innate power and strength o'erflow to meet
The needs of men, and trustingly allow
Our consciousness with Love to fill—refill—
Then lay our garnered fruitage at His feet.
