I should like to express my gratitude through the Sentinel...
I should like to express my gratitude through the Sentinel for the many blessings received from Christian Science.
I have been healed of many so-called childhood diseases, such as measles, chicken pox, colds, sore throat, toothache, and burns; and when attending college I was healed of a very severe case of lonesomeness and homesickness. When I was small, perhaps six years of age, I was accidentally struck above the eye with a sharp metal. Thanks to Christian Science, there were no stitches taken and no ugly scar or impaired sight as a result.
Recently there appeared on my face a rash which soon spread and took the form of sores. Work in Christian Science was taken up, but as the condition was so noticeable and I was working in a public place, sensitiveness and fear were very stubborn in yielding, and it seemed advisable to call a practitioner, who lovingly helped me. In about a week the condition had entirely disappeared.
While I am very grateful for the physical healings, I am more grateful for the peace and joy that are mine through the study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and the periodicals which she made possible for us to enjoy.
I am also thankful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for having had class instruction; thankful to Mrs. Eddy for giving to the world the wonderful truth about God and His spiritual universe.
(Mrs.) Louise Willert Stevens, Holt, Michigan.
