When I was about twelve years of age, my mother began to study Christian Science. Soon after that, through her help, I was healed of a severe sick headache. These headaches were periodic, and had prostrated me for several days at a time, almost from infancy. Convinced of the efficacy of Christian Science by this healing, I began to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and later to attend Sunday school. During four years of high school and four of college I was absent only two days, whereas before we began to study Science I lost many weeks from school because of illness. Christian Science was a great help to me in my school work also, especially at examination times. I am sure my excellent record in college was due largely to its aid.

Through my own study and work over a period of several months I was healed overnight of an ugly and painful growth on my hand. This healing was a great help and inspiration to me. Later I was instantly healed of hay fever through the help of a practitioner to whom I had written.

Since my marriage Christian Science has been a great help to both my husband and me in many ways. However, the most wonderful demonstration I have ever had took place at the birth of our son. Because of a previous experience caused by uremic poisoning, there was much fear to be overcome during pregnancy. There were also symptoms of disease to be destroyed; and no words can ever express my gratitude to the practitioner who stood by me all the long months, meeting every suggestion of evil and banishing my fears. In due time a baby boy was born quickly, normally, and with almost no pain. To say that I am grateful is an entirely inadequate expression of my feelings.
