I had been a sufferer from chronic indigestion for eighteen years. During my first reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy this condition was entirely healed. That was many years ago, and there has never been a return of this illness. I was able to recognize that Christian Science was the truth which had been practiced by Christ Jesus, and that its teachings would make everyone a law unto himself by constant obedience to God's universal law. This realization brought about a complete healing. I was also healed of varicose veins; but this healing took much study and a better understanding of the truth. This has also been a permanent healing. Several years ago I was run over by an automobile and seriously injured, suffering a double fracture of the pelvic bone, as well as severe bruises and internal injuries. I was carried into a near-by hospital and placed under medical and surgical care before I regained consciousness. Later, my daughter called a Christian Science practitioner. Because of my age the physician said that I would never walk again; but with the help of Truth I made a rapid and complete recovery, and was able to walk twelve blocks to church in less than six weeks from the time of the accident.

I am more grateful than I can express in words for the help that Christian Science has been to me; and especially am I grateful for the spiritual understanding that comes through the constant study of the Lesson-Sermons and all of Mrs. Eddy's works. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church, for branch church membership, and for class instruction.
