I am deeply grateful for Christian Science; and I have been helped so many times by reading testimonies from those who have been healed that I should like to help in the same way.
About nine years ago I arrived in South Africa from India with many discordant conditions—everything seemed wrong. The study of Christian Science was begun, and ever since it has been an unfailing help and comfort. I feel I can never stop expressing thanks. Many difficulties have been overcome. A few years ago, when we were up in a hill station during the Indian hot weather, our boy, a child of six years, seemed very poorly, and no one who saw him had the slightest doubt but that it was a bad case of adenoids. I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner, and work was started for him. It was wonderful. We were all very busy getting ready to go back home again, when we woke to the fact that the child was well. When his father saw him he must have thought that I had greatly exaggerated. A year later a friend who had seen him at the time and had said she considered an operation was essential, was more than astonished.
It is so wonderful to know that divine Love is operating for everyone, always. Another cause for gratitude is to know that, as Mrs. Eddy tells us (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 57), "Happiness is spiritual, born of Truth and Love."—(Mrs.) Vera M. West, St. James, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa.
