Twenty-one years ago, at the suggestion of friends, my parents commenced the study of Christian Science. At that time my father, who had been suffering with appendicitis, had been told by physicians that unless he would undergo an operation he could not live more than three months longer. Christian Science completely healed him of that trouble.

Several years ago I was healed of hay fever, and of frequent attacks of a condition very much like asthma. Since that time I have not experienced many physical difficulties, but the few that have presented themselves have yielded quickly to the power of Truth.

One morning when fear of death seemed to be mastering thought, I kept repeating over and over: Man is the expression of God—Life—and man therefore lives in order to express Life. Soon there came over me a deep sense of peace and security, and I was renewedly grateful that we have in Christian Science an ever available weapon with which to combat the beliefs of the flesh.
