We read in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures"...

We read in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy (Pref., p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." For five years Christian Science has been our only physician in times of illness, and our only refuge in trouble. Indeed, through all these years divine Love has always met our every need.

We have been so abundantly rewarded for our faith in God that our blessings are almost too many to enumerate, but I want to tell of two recent healings for which we are deeply grateful. Our little daughter, for the first five years of her life, suffered from a bowel disorder. We did not seek medical aid, but a physician informed us that nothing could help her then, although she would outgrow the trouble in time. Instead, it presented itself in a more severe form. We appealed to Christian Science, and although the healing came slowly she is now perfectly healed. At another time an attack of mumps was overcome for her in three days. She has been beautifully protected during every so-called contagious epidemic.

Christian Science also saved my life from the dire effects of blood poisoning, which had manifested itself decidedly before I asked for treatment. Help was faithfully given. Darkness came, but divine Life and Love illumined the way. My condition grew worse for several days. Complications set in, and every internal organ was seemingly affected. But not once did despair or discouragement come to me, for I knew well that "there is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear." And indeed it did. With the loving patience and understanding of a dear practitioner I was healed in about three weeks. Various other diseases have been overcome, such as tonsillitis, influenza, constipation, colds, earache, frequent headaches, and backaches.
