The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

St. Louis, Missouri (Fourth Church).

Lecturer: Bicknell Young; introduced by Mrs. Grace G. Lay, who said:—

To the friends who are attending a Christian Science lecture for the first time, let me say that if you are listening for the "still small voice" of Truth, you will learn how mankind may be healed of sin, sickness, and death. Well I remember the first Christian Science lecture I attended. I entered the church bowed down with a great sense of grief, because of the passing on of a dear one, and resentment toward a God who in my blind way of thinking was responsible for the separation. I left the church healed, this one statement from page 37 of "Unity of Good" by Mary Baker Eddy repeating itself over and over again to me: "God is Life; and as there is but one God, there can be but one Life."
