Ministers of religion are most likely to render a Christian service...

Boston Post

Ministers of religion are most likely to render a Christian service when they preach their own gospel without attempting to decry or disparage what is held with equal sincerity by other religionists. This proposition was illustrated by an article in the Boston Sunday Post, in which a Baptist minister was quoted as saying that Christian Science is a philosophy of negation.

The fact is that Christian Science is neither a philosophy nor a religion of negation; it is a religion, as religion is determined by the teachings of Christ Jesus, and it is affirmative and constructive in both its basis and its method. For instance, Mrs. Eddy has said that to understand Christian Science "you must begin by reckoning God as the divine Principle of all that really is" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 275). Every negation by Christian Science is simply a consistent application of an affirmative idea.
