[Written for the Sentinel]

"He leadeth me"

"He leadeth me"—'t is joy to know
My halting steps need never stray
In paths of doubt, where sorrow dwells,
Since I am guided all the way.
"He leadeth me"—'t is peace to feel
My hand in His when fear assails;
Our God is omnipresent Love,
And Love is All. God never fails!
"He leadeth me" in pastures green—
No terrors there to mar my peace;
Then sing, my heart, with sweet acclaim,
And thank Him for the glad release.
