I have been acquainted with Christian Science for over fourteen years. When I found it, I was a young man, full of fear and anxiety for the future. My earlier environment had not been of the best. My education was very limited, and my faith in God had been entirely smothered.

However, after attending a Sunday service of the Christian Science church, I was so uplifted that I immediately started the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy; and since that day I have never doubted for a minute that Christian Science is the full truth. Mountains of fear, doubt, anxiety, worry, selfishness, and sin have been overcome to a certain extent. I realize there is still plenty for me to do, but I have gradually made progress until the old beliefs of lack of money, ability, and education have largely yielded. I have also had physical healings in Christian Science, among them being the healing of influenza and typhoid fever, and an almost instantaneous healing of a sprained ankle. For these I am very grateful.

I am also grateful for all the activities of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, and especially for the great international daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor. Whatever success I may have achieved in a business way is in no small degree due to a careful study of this paper. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church, for membership in a branch church, and for class instruction.
