Among the Churches

Current Notes

Philadelphia Record

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Second Church).—Second Church of Christ, Scientist, of Philadelphia, has now dedicated its church edifice, located on Greene Street below School Lane. The building, of unusual and attractive design, is of early Christian architecture and of brick construction trimmed with Indiana limestone. It stands well back from the street with a broad lawn artistically planted with trees and shrubbery, and has a drive for vehicles which encircles the entire building. The church proper has a pew-seating capacity of about one thousands, and the Sunday school will accommodate about five hundred.—Philadelphia Record.
