I wish to express my gratitude to God for giving me the necessary understanding of Truth to overcome a great error which held me in bondage.

I had seemingly lost the sight of my left eye, and that of the right eye was also weakened. Consequently I was not able to do any kind of work, except to read short passages in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy as well as I could; and these I committed to memory. I had a great deal of time for meditation, and thus was able to gain a more correct understanding of the almighty, unchangeable Love which guides and governs everything. I often thought of Paul, who was also guided through darkness into light, although in quite a different manner. All the same, his example greatly strengthened my confidence and faith. Through the power of divine Principle, Love, I regained my eyesight, and also the correct understanding that sight, like all the functions of God's child, the reflection of divine Love, is spiritual.

I have to thank Christian Science for so much that words are inadequate to express my gratitude. I have been an adherent of this Science since 1911. It has been my guide and help in every emergency—the more, the better I have understood it. I am now seventy-nine years of age.
